Four writers… Three plays… Two doors, but just one key…

In July 2013, we set four female playwrights a challenge, to write a play no longer than 17 minutes, based on any aspect of HG Wells’ story ‘The door in the wall’ – an allegorical tale of dark longing and obsession. What’s through the door? is an unexpected evening of three different but linked, one act plays, all inspired by the same story, and featuring a key.

What’s through the door? was  performed at the Canal Cafe Theatre, 25 September 2013, 7.30pm at the Rochester Literature Festival, The Visitor Information Centre, Rochester, 5 October 2013, 7pm, and directed by Amy Clare Tasker. The writers were Sam Hall, Sarah Hehir and Whoop'n'Wail.
